CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND PORTRAYAL

1. Read play.

Establish character psychologically.
Motivate each line.
Become personally involved with other characters.
Emotion will come through automatically.

2.There is a purpose and objective for everything done on stage.

When developing character work on psychological problems of character AND specific points of character to use on stage.
such as character's background, type of work, etc.

3.When working on character be sure to bring the correct senses into play at the correct time and be aware of doing so.

5. Play to audience as character:

6. Play comedy with legitimacy of situation, sincerity, and believability.

7. Play character on stage from moment to moment.

8. SUIT ACTION TO THE WORD AND WORD TO THE ACTION.
